I need to replace the roof including the framing on my existing single-story wood-framed detached garage. The building is 18' by 12' and the roof trusses will span the the 12 foot demension. I believe this would normally qualify for a Subject to Field Inspecition based on existing guidance. But due to the ECA designation I was advised to submit this application as normal request and then apply for an ECA excpetion and an STFI designation.
